The Oakland County Climate Campaign emerged in December 2019 as a response to the growing threat of climate change and the need for local governments to take action. However, the ideas contained within the movement began long before that date. In fact, the platform we created is based on bringing together the works of many movements under a common vision. We want to make Oakland County a model for environmental leadership in the United States. Our transition to a cleaner economy can be one that benefits all people. It must make clean, green technology accessible and affordable to all people. We're a growing movement, just as diverse as Oakland County itself. Together, we can achieve climate justice for all.
