In consideration of participating in a test drive event, I hereby agree to release and discharge the Michigan Electric Vehicle Alliance and the National Electric Vehicle Association, their chapters, members, board of directors, employees and all parties involved in the production and operation of this Ride and Drive event including their respective subsidiaries and affiliated companies, agents, owners, officers, directors, contractors, volunteers, participants, employees and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (herein collectively referred to as the ‘Releasees’) on behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my heirs, and my assigns.

1. I acknowledge that the Ride and Drive activities may entail known and unanticipated risks which could result in physical injury or damage to me. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in the activity. My participation in the activity is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks.
2. I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees and each of them from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, demands or cause of action, or costs that may arise out of or are in any way connected with any participation in the activity of my use of Releasees equipment or facilities, whether caused by the negligence of Releasees or otherwise.
3. I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself. I further certify that I have no medical or physical conditions that could interfere with the safety in this activity, or else I am willing to assume – and bear the costs of all risks that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition.
4. I hereby agree that this Release and Acknowledgement of Risks extends to all acts of negligence by the Releasees, and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the state of , and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

By signing this release, I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during my participation in the activities, I may be found by a court of law to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against Releasees on the basis of any claim from which I have released them herein. I have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. I have read and understood it, and I agree to be bound by its terms.
